Discovering Identity
April 06, 2022
by Isak Olson

Hi friends! It’s been a little bit since Phoebe and I have posted anything. Let’s just say it has been pretty busy recently. Among the busyness has been a number of different ministry opportunities and activities that have happened and will happen at Shiloh. Previously in a last blog post, we talked about how the Youth were hoping for a youth lock-in. Well, it happened. And guess who the coordinators were? Phoebe and Isak. Let me tell you that we hadn’t stayed up all night probably since going to the Free Lutheran Bible College. Even then we didn’t stay up all night over the weekends. Truly though, it was a blast to be the leaders of the Youth lock-in. We enjoyed a fun-filled night of gaga ball, a bible study on identity, snacks, and more games. God has been so good in these youth’s lives as we have gotten to see a little glimpse into their lives and how God is working in their lives. Identity has been a strong focus of this year’s youth group bible study time. The biblical truth of our identity in Christ being of eternal significance has been a driving force for these youth of Shiloh to grasp.

Moreover, many of you know that lent has been in full swing for the past couple of weeks. At Shiloh, Phoebe and I have had the wonderful opportunity to be the leaders for the kid’s club that has been happening during the lent service. It has been so fun to get to walk through the Easter eggs of the Easter story with them as well as a craft following. It really lights up our hearts when we see the kids understand what Jesus did on the cross for them and that they too have an eternal inheritance in Christ’s work.

Further, continue to be in prayer for the children’s ministry and youth ministry here at Shiloh. Phoebe and I have truly been blessed to have a big part of it. Further, be in prayer for all the preparation and the week of VBS as Phoebe and I are VBS coordinators for the Shiloh VBS this summer. More to come on that soon!

Friendly reminder too that if you would like to give to us, use the give tab at the top of the page and select Isak Olson. Thanks support fam!!!
